    Project Manager-Power Management (Monitoring) System
San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) CA or Raleigh, NC
    The Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation of sophisticated power management software for high power application in mission critical facilities.
    Education:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required
    Qualifications:
    A strong background in electrical monitoring systems, network protocols and network communication interfaces is a plus
    Experience working in Data Center environments is a plus
    Government experience a must
    This position is ideal for a self-starter with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills who will embrace working in a demanding environment focused on multiple customer priorities. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management (5 years) and will be available to travel domestically 50% of the time.

    Senior Power Systems Engineer (Rancho Bernardo, CA)
   

Requirements:

    MSEE required; PhD helpful
    PE (licensed in California preferred)
    Minimum of 10 years experience preferred
    Core Competencies:
    Develop excellent knowledge of Company's products, software and related applications
    Excellent time management, communications, decision making, human relations and organization skills
    Professional appearance and presentation required
    Team player and self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
    Strong conceptual skills with ability to manage troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions
    Strong analytical skills
    Experience in a start-up environment a plus
    Travel (estimated at 40%) expected
    Key Responsibilities:
    Perform power system studies, short circuit, load flow, arc flash and voltage drop and protective device coordination
    Power system reliability studies
    Perform electrical power system documentation including: system configuration, equipment ratings and settings
    Protections relay scheme design, upgrades and recommendations
    Prepare estimates and take-offs for engineering study project proposals
    Spreading a job through the established contact and applying different marketing methods to attract new customers
    Make technical and promotional presentation on different technical topics
    Power quality measurements
    Review reports prepared by others for completeness and format correctness
    Test and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, complex relay systems and power metering
    Calculate setting and testing relays: Basler, SEL, Multilin, Beckwith, ABB and GE
    The position requires superb communications skills (primarily oral, but professional written communications in the form of email, and more formal reports) with customers, management and related contractors, business partners and sales channels.

    Customer Advocate - Technical Support (Dallas, TX)
   

This position is a primary contact for customers in mission critical environments and requires a very high degree of customer, management and field engineering interaction.  This position will require in-depth knowledge of the Company’s software, systems and interconnected devices to ensure proper operation of a system and timely recovery in the event of a system failure.

   

Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree or technical degree plus appropriate and equivalent experience in technical support that includes software, networking, electrical systems or related SCADA type systems involved in data acquisition;experience with HTML and browser environment a plus
    Requires two to five years minimum experience as a technical support professional
    Must be a US citizen

    Key Responsibilities:
    Manages an assigned geographic area to maximize use of the Paladin product and make certain that customer satisfaction objectives are met
     

- Phone, email and Webex support for customers

      - Diagnose customer issues and identify appropriate resolution
      - Maintain support database for issues, software bugs and requested enhancements
      - Provide hardware and software testing for or at customer sites as requested
      - Escalate customer status/issues as required to Power Analytics software development or management
      - Conduct research to resolve customer issues as required
    Support Power Analytics Paladin Configurations including:
      - Server to browser interface
      - LAN configurations
      - Backups and backup alternatives for Power Analytics Paladin Servers
      - Server administration (Microsoft and SQL server configurations)
    The position requires superb communications skills (primarily oral, but professional written communications in the form of email, and more formal reports) with customers, management and related contractors, business partners and sales channels.  Candidates will have two to five years of previous experience in a related area of electrical systems, data acquisition and control, SCADA or network management with field installation experience and software acumen.

SALES & MARKETING

Sales Professionals: Power Analytics is looking for experienced salespeople with expertise in Enterprise software sales, and a track record selling to end-users, OEMs, systems integrators, consulting engineering firms, and federal systems users. Knowledge of electrical power systems, fault tolerance, IT asset management, and intelligent infrastructure products is highly desirable. Candidates should be people who thrive in an entrepreneurial sales environment, be interested in advancing within a rapidly-growing company and be effective selling to both business-level and technical-level decision makers. BSEE required. Experience: 5-10 years of relevant sales experience.

 

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Software Engineer, Electrical Power Systems (multiple positions)
Design and develop software for analysis of electrical power systems: Analyze software requirements; Create, modify, and customize software for simulation and application of multifunctional systems - AC/DC systems, balanced/unbalanced systems, Sliding , Series Fault, 1/2,3,5, 8, and any cycle fault simulation, dynamic switch, rectifiers and inverters, analysis of voltage and Protective Device Evaluation for real time simulation, active/reactive optimal power, advanced reliability analysis, power flow/motor starting analysis, voltage stability/contingency analysis, electromagnetic transient analysis and harmonic analysis; Test and modify software as necessary for simplification and optimum analysis simulation. Master in Science in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related field required. One year experience in the job or in research also required. Refer to D/ZIE when applying

Interface Developer:
Power Analytics is also looking for an experienced Interface Developer to be responsible for developing applications through the creation of an interface between Power Analytics software products and various CAD and diagramming applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Visio and similar applications. Must have hands-on experience incorporating database functionality into CAD and Diagramming solutions using VBA, C++. Candidate must have experience integrating CAD solutions with Oracle or SQL databases. Experience: Minimum of four years of relevant previous experience in Visio or CAD application development.
